“A Change of Season”

Listen to a reading of this poem (0:57)
Each time reaching for the light outside the tomb
a man falls harder to the ground than ever
Slipping from the wire… again and again
Before the end of torrent weather…
Comes Change of Season
Yet not before each of his petals
has wuthered through the breeze… realization appears
Though it seems, destruction’s end draws nigh,
it’s only the view, drowning below typhoon seas… Fleeting
Yet every man must slip into an empty space
Must slide back
If his heart lies with the truth
On will he go…above the pit of snakes
But if his heart lies to himself
His dreams will be gone
For now we wait…for gentle footsteps
Now we wait… for Change of Season.
